Anderson named Outstanding Wrestler of the Greater Middlesex Conference

South Plainfield's Matt Anderson and Old Bridge's Ken Scott were honored at the Greater Middlesex Conference Wrestling Coaches Association's Awards banquet. Anderson, a 130-pound senior, was named the Outstanding Wrestler after winning titles at the Greater Middlesex Conference, NJSIAA District XII and NJSIAA Region III tournaments. Scott was selected Coach of the Year after leading the Knights to the Red Division crown in the Greater Middlesex Conference and the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV Tournament championship.
Joe Bubenheimer, Woodbridge's 112-pounder, was chosen Freshman of the Year after placing first at the Greater Middlesex Conference, NJSIAA District IXX and NJSIAA Region V Tournaments. Jeff Zannetti of J.P. Stevens was named Sophomore of the Year, placuing first at the GMC, District IXX and Region V Tournaments.
Cesar Samangiego of JFK/Iselin was named Assistant Coach of the Year and Sayreville coach Len Zaleski was named Man of the Year.
