MKA wins 1st X/C county title

Montclair Kimberley placed three of its runners in the Top 7 to race to the
Cougars' first boys title in the Essex County Cross Country Championships held on November 3, 2000. Bloomfield's
Kevin Fortkiewicz, a junior, raced through the tape to claim the gold medal and became the first Bengal to triumph
in the event since Don Giardina won in 1972. |
Columbia won the girls' team title as Courtney Epps and Raven Lea finished
1-2 for the Cougars. |
