Dickinson named Northeast Conference Softball
Player of the Week

Clifton's Lauren Dickinson has been named the Northeast Conference Player
of the Week as well as the NEC pitcher of the Week. Dickinson is a senior who pitches and plays the infield for
Robert Morris which currently sports a 26-18 overall record. She is a graduate of St. Mary/Rutherford. |

Dickinson earned NEC PLayer of the Week accolades for the second this season
after batting .643 with nine hits that included three doubles and one home run as she knocked in four runs and
scored five time. She had at least one hit in all five games and had multiple hits games in 3 of the 5 contests,
accounting for the game-winning RBI in two scores in the winning run in two others.
Dickinson was outstanding in a 6-2 victory over Sacred Heart, legging out a pair of two-baggers and blasting a
homer. For trhe year, Dickinson is batting .386 with a .606 slugging percentage and possesses the Robert Morris
career records for hits (185), doubles (41), home runs (17) and batting average (.339).
On the mound, Dickinson went 3-0, fanning 16 and posting a 1.03 ERA for the week to garner NEC Pitcher of the Week

She picked up wins over Sacred Heart, Kent State and Central Connecticut
State with her start against CCSU marking the 125th career appearance that set a new Colonial record to go along
with her other career makrs in innings pitched (787.0), strikeouts (820) and complete games (114). For the year,
the former Gael standout in 21-11 with 212 strikeouts overall and sports a NEC mark of 13-3 with five shutouts,
106 strikeours and a 1.16 ERA. |
