Starting with the 2002-2003 scholastic ice hockey season, the Shore Conference will sponsor its own ice hockey league it was announced by Charles Ferrara, Shore Conference president. "When any sport has more than six member teams competing in a sport, we must form a Shore Conference in that sport."
